Bonzo the Dog Toys & Collectables at C & T Auctioneers

An excellent collection of Bonzo the Dog Toys and Bonzo the Dog Collectables will be sold at C & T Auctioneers on the 16th November at their Fine Dolls, Teddy Bears and Juvenalia sale. The collection includes fine examples of Bonzo Chad Valley toys as well as Bonzo perfume bottles, Bonzo bisque dolls etc.
Chad Valley ‘Bonzo’ English circa 1930, the cream velvet jointed Bonzo with black patch above tail and to one ear, printed features and having shaded pink eyes and nose with red tongue, black stitched claws and wearing a brown leatherette collar with Chad Valley button and red ribbon, 5 ½“ (14cm) tall, together with ‘Bonzo, The Great Big Midget Book’, pair of Bonzo figures and eight Bonzo postcards.
Two Bonzo bisque jars with removable heads, German 1920’s, the seated Bonzo’s, painted in orange and with moulded and painted features, the string pull jar with hole to mouth, the other winking with moulded black top hat and moulded suit collar, tallest 6” (15cm) tall

Chad Valley ‘Bonzo’ English circa 1930, the cream velvet jointed Bonzo with black patch above tail and to one ear, printed features and having painted pale blue eyes looking to the heavens and with long lashes, pink nose and tips of paws, wearing original pink sash, black stitched claws and with swivel head and jointed at shoulders and hips, when standing 6 ¼” (16cm) tall.
Three Bonzo figurines, including white ceramic seated Bonzo bookend, by Wilkinson ltd, another similar Bonzo in brown composition and a plaster sleeping Bonzo with bone, (3 items), tallest 6” (15cm) tall.
