In the 1970s, the global sensation of Swedish pop legends ABBA extended beyond music charts and concert venues. Even the toy industry couldn’t resist the allure of the four iconic members – Agnetha, Benny, Björn, and Anni-Frid and in 1978 British toy company Matchbox, best known for its iconic die-cast cars, took the opportunity and launched a delightful set of ABBA dolls that soon very collectible among fans worldwide. Although on the box ABBA were listed as Anna, Benny, Frida and Bjorn.

Measuring at 23 cm (approximately 9 inches), these dolls were meticulously crafted to capture the essence and charm of ABBA’s members. Each doll was a miniature replica, sporting the distinctive features and styles that made Agnetha, Benny, Björn, and Anni-Frid so instantly recognizable. Not only did the dolls come with their own iconic costumes, but additional outfits were also available for purchase separately. This allowed fans to mix and match outfits, recreating various iconic ABBA looks from their legendary performances.

The dolls were sold United Kingdom and throughout Europe but were not a hit and their rarity in very good and near mint condition makes the doll set and the accessories collectible and valuable.
