The 2022 Montblanc Writers Edition honours Brothers Grimm. The design is part of Montblanc’s annual tribute to important literary figures and gives collectors a recognisable writing instrument associated with the author.

About the author

Jacob Grimm (1785–1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (1786–1859) were German scholars whose collected fairy tales include versions of Snow White, Hansel and Gretel and Sleeping Beauty.

Pen design and identification

The 2022 edition has an elongated, walking-stick-inspired form with decorative thorn motifs, recalling the enchanted hedge in Sleeping Beauty. The sculptural design gives it a fairy-tale character.

The thorn decoration and unusual profile are key identifiers.
