The 2017 Montblanc Writers Edition honours Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The design is part of Montblanc’s annual tribute to important literary figures and gives collectors a recognisable writing instrument associated with the author.

About the author

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900–1944) was a French aviator and author of The Little Prince, as well as memoirs and novels inspired by flying.

Pen design and identification

The 2017 edition uses a deep blue finish and decoration referencing aviation, maps and the night sky. The colour and surface design evoke the author’s experiences as a pilot.

Aviation-inspired details distinguish it from other dark blue Writers Editions.
