The Aston Martin DB5 first appeared in Goldfinger and the Corgi 261 model is probably one of the most famous and most sort after Corgi models. The DB5 has now appeared in a number of Bond films including Thunderball.

The Aston Martin DB5 was also actually mentioned in Ian Fleming’s novel Goldfinger.  However, in the novel the car had a few extras like a gun compartment but in the film it featured machine guns, an oil sprayer, tire shredders, rotating number plates, a tracking system and the unforgettable ejector seat.

Corgi released a 50th Anniversary edition of the Goldfinger Aston Martin in 2014 which was a complete sell out and has also become collectable but is not to be confused with the original issue.

Condition is very important and most collectors are not looking to play their DB5.
