The camera, bearing the serial number 48442 from 1931, also carries historical significance due to its previous ownership. It was once linked to Fritz and Alfred Rotter, prominent private theatre directors in the Weimar Republic, who were known for their influential contributions to the cultural scene before their escape from Berlin in 1933.
