Society for Diverse Halloween Artist is a NEW group at Ebay but is growing rapidly. Society for Diverse Halloween Artist, or SDHA for short, was formed with ONE goal in mind, to bring together the Halloween artist community and their admirers.
In just a few short years, Halloween has become a HUGE holiday, almost right behind Christmas in popularity. The scary, strange and creepy aspects are only just the beginning of what Halloween offers people. It allows people to be something they are not in real life. To be someone different if only for a short period of time. People go to great length in decorating their homes for this wonderful holiday season.
Halloween comes in the fall on October 31, which is consider one of the most favorite seasons of the year. Halloween or All Hallows Eve, an annual event, originally dates back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts celebrated their new year on November 1. Samhain marked the end of summer and the harvest season and the beginning of the dark, cold days of winter. Celts believed that on this night, the boundary between the living and the dead were opened or weak. Because of this, the dead were said to roam the earth freely. During the Celts celebration they wore costumes and masks, which were said to hide their appearance from the roaming dead.
Over the years, Halloween has gone through MANY transitions. Even in today’s market, Halloween is big business. One of the biggest aspects of Halloween is decorating. This aspect has increased in demand greatly. The diversity of decorating is incredible and many people enjoy the old world designs of Halloween that where popular when they grew up.
Artist take note of these new trends and cater to the public. SDHA is one of the most unique groups I have ever found and does just that. The diversity is phenomenal and no matter what type of decoration you enjoy, one of the members of this unique society will probably produce some type of art that will cater to your needs.
SDHA offers everything you can think of to decorate and celebrate Halloween. Scary lamps, paintings of all kinds, jewelry, sculptures galore and dolls that are sure to give you the creeps. They even have furniture and everyday objects that are transformed into unique, artistic pieces to display, enjoy and collect.
These original pieces are done with such skill and details that they are sure to increase in value over the years. Many, if not all of these pieces are true ONE OF A KIND originals and made directly from the artist themselves.
