The auction commemorates the 50th anniversary of Moore’s first appearance as 007 with a stunning array of Bond memorabilia.
It’s a treat for all the Bond aficionados as Bonhams is gearing up to auction an impressive array of memorabilia from the personal collection of Sir Roger Moore. Scheduled to take place on 4 October 2023 at 101 New Bond Street, London, the event marks the 50th anniversary of Moore’s debut as 007.

Synonymous with the suave style and sophistication of James Bond, Sir Roger Moore holds the record for playing the iconic spy in the maximum number of films in the EON series, including blockbuster hits like ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’, ‘For Your Eyes Only’, ‘Octopussy’, and ‘A View to a Kill’. He also gained fame through TV shows such as ‘The Saint’ and ‘The Persuaders’. This distinguished actor, who passed away in 2017, continues to be a style symbol of his generation and an emblem of British cool.

This unique auction, comprising 180 lots offered directly by the late actor’s family, includes important Bond memorabilia, collectables, and personal items. Among the highlights are Sir Roger Moore’s mohair double-breasted dinner suit worn in the Eiffel Tower scene in ‘A View to a Kill’, estimated at £20,000 – £30,000, his white ski suit from the same movie, and an Omega special edition 50 Years of 007 Seamaster watch, each carrying an estimated value of £15,000 – £25,000 and £20,000 – £30,000 respectively.
“Sir Roger Moore was a true icon of the silver screen, best known for bringing his natural charm and panache to the role of 007,” remarked Harvey Cammell, Bonhams Global Director, Valuations & Private Collections. “We are honoured to be offering his personal collection for sale, providing a unique opportunity for Bond fans to feel a little closer to the man himself.”

His children, Deborah, Geoffrey, and Christian Moore, added: “Our father meant so much to many people across the globe. He was not just James Bond and The Saint but a kind and generous individual who was as proud of his charitable work as he was of his acting career. We are delighted to share his legacy with his many fans.”
A passionate UNICEF ambassador, Sir Roger Moore’s philanthropic efforts will continue, as a portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to UNICEF by his family.
Other highlights of the sale include a Hollywood Walk of Fame plaque commemorating Moore’s star placement in 2007, a glass UNICEF award, a pair of Moore’s Lamborghini skis, a large collection of his silk ties and cravats, Screen Actors Guild membership cards, a Jean Cocteau polychrome ceramic plate, and a plethora of photographs and film stills capturing Moore in his iconic James Bond role.
