Today sees the release of blomst a new dinnerware range from Royal Copenhagen.

 is a modern reinterpretation of the historical “Blue Flower” dinnerware from 1779. blomst is a fresh take on heritage, shape, design and craft. Like a real flower, it has both the power of the present and the strength of the past encapsulated in its multifaceted tale.

Named after the Danish word for flower, blomst, and has been created by three passionate artists – a composer, a Royal ballet dancer and fashion designer.

Each and every item in the blomst assortment has its own hand-painted flower; from the tea pot’s pretty peony to the deep plate, where the climbing wild rose creates beautiful poetry.

The flowers painted include French Anemone, Hyacinth, Lily, Iris, Rose, Carnation, Sweet Pea, Camellia, Dahlia, Narcissus and Fuchsia.
