The opera diva and her jewels take you
into another world

“Maria
Callas & Swarovski – Jewels on Stage” is a unique
exhibition and was born of an inspiration by Rinaldo Albanesi,
Swarovski International Vice President. The exhibition is composed
of the stage jewellery and the prototypes created for Maria
Callas by the famous Atelier Marangoni of Milan, Italy.

Ennio Marino Maragoni, founder of the atelier, used the
highest quality crystals and the finest imitation pearls that
could then, and still today, be bought: those of Swarovski.
Atelier Maragoni became part of the Swarovski Group in 1999.

This
exhibition made its debut in Verona, Italy, in August 2003.
Since then it has moved to various cities all over Europe. In
2006 it will be hosted in different places in Northern Europe
and the United States. A tour of Japan is planned for 2007.
To find out where this exhibit is currently taking place, please
see our Events pages.

With all of the collected jewels, anecdotes, pictures and
background information, the exhibit promises to be a fantastic
trip into the realms of a diva.
