At the March Enesco Spring Fling Show in Chicago several new items were
introduced. The show exclusive that will only be available to retailers who
attended this show is Ed “There’s a Patch In My Heart For You.” Ed is
dressed in overalls and is holding a pumpkin. He comes with a complete
pumpkin carving kit to carve a Cherished Teddies face on your pumpkin. Also
shown at the show was Rodney “I’m Santa’s Little Helper.” Rodney is dressed
as a reindeer. The Rodney figurine will come with a matching plush in a
matching tin. The next Rare Bear was also introduced at this show. It will
be Crystal of the Carousel Series. The rare version of Crystal will have a
different pose, a paint variation, and real embedded crystals.

Avon has three new exclusives coming out in Spring of 1999. The first is
“Always Put Your Best Paw Forward.” This figurine features a bear dressed
in a graduation cap and gown. The second figurine is Ava and she is sitting
with pearls on and lipstick and other such items in front of her. And the
third item is an Ava bean bag plush. Contact your local Avon Rep to order
any of these items.

Coming this Spring or early Summer will be a new series called “Teddies In
Motion.” This series features 5 figurines, one which is a Limited Edition.
The Limited Edition is Dustin and Austin and features two bears in a fire
truck. The other four figurines are Chad in an airplane and Dave, Roger, and
Ken which are in three seperate cars. This new series is so cute and
Priscilla’s son Glenn helped with the design of these.

On October 29, 1999 participating Cherished Teddies retailers will be
holding a Millennium Event which will feature two Cherished Teddies items.
The first is a figurine named Milton which is a bear in a rocket ship. The
other is a dated plush set. Each plush bear is wearing dated diapers – one
is dated 1999 and the other is dated 2000.

To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the National Cherished Teddies Club,
Enesco has announced a Weekend Club Convention for National Members. The
event will be held the weekend of September 25th in Chicago, Illinois. They
have lots of fun plnned and the cost excluding your hotel is $175 per
person. All the information regarding this weekend will be in the next
issue of The Town Tattler.

And one last thing, Priscilla Hillman, the artist who designs our beloved
Cherished Teddies was named Artist of The Year and was awarded this award at
the Long Beach International Collectible Exposition. Congratulations Priscilla.
