Royal Selangor Captain America – Royal Selangor, the world-renowned maker of crafted pewter goods, has unveiled a Limited Edition Origins Captain America figure. An exclusive collector’s item, it has been produced in a limited run of only 800 individually numbered pieces worldwide, making it an irresistible draw for the most devoted fans.

Depicting the iconic transformation of Steve Rogers into the star-spangled superhero, the dimensions of this limited-edition marvel measure approximately 27.5cm in height (including base), 23cm in length, and 20cm in width.

The inspiration for the piece draws from the gritty newsreel footage of the burgeoning Nazi threat in Europe, which led a despairing Steve Rogers to offer his services to the military. Initially deemed too frail for active duty, he agreed to partake in Operation: Rebirth, emerging as the powerful embodiment of American resilience and patriotism, Captain America.

Esteemed illustrators Alan Quah and Ghim Ong have combined their unique artistic talents to translate this illustration into a breathtakingly detailed 3D sculpture. They have meticulously crafted the figure in pewter, depicting a newly transformed Steve Rogers astride his motorcycle. The illustration serves as a homage to Roger Stern, John Byrne, Bob Sharen, Joe Rubinstein, and Joe Rosen’s retelling of Captain America’s definitive origin story. The base of the figure is crafted in composite resin.

Alan Quah, a highly respected figure within the international comics and collectibles community, has brought his artistic vision to the table in the creation of this limited-edition figure. He is joined by Ghim Ong, whose profound interest in 3D sculpting has led him to work on properties belonging to Marvel, DC, and Disney. Their joint expertise has ensured that the Origins Captain America figure is not just a collector’s item but a piece of art.

This collectible figure is part of a broader project with Marvel Comics, featuring iconic characters and symbols from the expansive Marvel multiverse. Each item, including the Limited Edition Origins Captain America, comes in Official Marvel Licensee packaging, attesting to its authenticity and quality.
