To celebrate Prince George’s his first birthday Hazle Ceramics are launching a New Limited Painting entitled ‘Prince George’s Birthday Shop’ which is painted on their Sally Lunn building (which was built in 1482). The windows are filled with presents, bunting, cake and of course a birthday banner.
There will be 66 of ‘Prince George’s Birthday Shop’ painted – the same number as for the Limited Painting produced last year to celebrate Prince George’s birth.
Why 66? It is generally agreed that the British Monarchy began with Offa, and that there have been 63 monarchs since then. Prince George will be the 66th, presuming that his father and grandfather both serve before him.
The ‘Prince George’s Birthday Shop’ is priced at £89.50.
