Outstanding and Exceptionally Rare Stoneware Heart-Shaped Inkstand Estimate: $20,000-$30,000 Exceedingly Rare and Important Heart-Shaped Stoneware Inkstand, Mid-Atlantic origin, second quarter 19th century, large-sized, slab-constructed inkstand in the form of a heart, the top surface decorated with heavily slip-trailed swags, a dotted star design, and what appears to be a brushed heart at the base. Sides of inkstand decorated with cross-hatched slip-trailing.

Outstanding Remmey (Philadelphia) Stoneware Presentation Bank w/ Incised Bird – Estimate: $15,000-$25,000. Outstanding and Extremely Rare Presentation Stoneware Bank with Incised Bird and Floral Decoration, Incised “A.R. / March 28 / 1874,” attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, or possibly Richard Clinton Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, 1874, ovoid bank with rounded foot, tall finial, and carved vertical slot in shoulder.

Exceptional JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER, NY Stoneware Churn with Peacock – Estimate: $5,000-$8,000 Outstanding Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Elaborate Peacock on Branch Decoration, Stamped “JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER,” NY State origin, circa 1860, semi-ovoid churn with flared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large and artistically slip-trailed design of a peacock with long, heavily-detailed tail and intricate feathering to body, perched on a leafy tree branch. American stoneware designs are rarely accomplished with such artistry and fineness.
