The Dan Dare Rocket Gun Safety Model
It was produced by Merit in the 1950s and there appears to have been several different types created featuring different colour style guns: silver, copper and black. The copper gun appears to be the rarest of three colour guns. The gun featured the words Dan Dare along the barrel, Rocket Gun along the side and Planet Space Fleet on the grip.

It came with two safety rockets for firing. The rockets appeared on the cover as different colours, but in most sets we have seen they were mainly red, but we have seen green rocket versions. These rockets had a compartment for secret messages. The rockets had a sucker at the end.

The version below features a green rocket as well an the usual red.
