The 1999 Catalogs have begun to arrive in stores and all of the Fall and
Winter figurines are adorable, as always. One of my favorites is the 1999
Fall Adoption Center Exclusive Sally and Skip. It features a boy and girl
bear riding a bicycle. Also, this year Enesco is doing something different
with their seasonal figurines. I found out at the Enesco showroom in
Atlanta that all the 1999 seasonal figurines will be retired after this
year. So if you want them, you better buy them when they come out this summer.
The retirement dates for 1999 have been announced. They are:
February 27
April 17
August 7
October 16
The first Adoption Center Event of 1999 will be February 27. The event
figurine featured that day will be Bette, “You Are The Star Of The Show.” A
retirement will also be announced that day.
Probably the biggest event of 1999 will be April 17. This will be the Class
of 1993 Reunion Event. The retired figurines Daisy and Chelsea will be
reunited for one day only as a double figurine titled “Old Friends Always
Find Their Way Back.” This figurine will retail for $20 with another $20
Cherished Teddies purchase.
It was announced in the January Issue of The Town Tattler that there will be
a National Club Convention in September 1999. The information is to be
mailed to all National Club Members in February. Also as I told you in my
last news update every National club member who orders all four of the
members only figurines will be automatically shipped free a Customer
Appreciation figurine. We now know his name is Ray (pictured above right). He is the vendor selling
all the goodies to the patrons of the town parade.
And last but certainly not least, one of the 1999 International Collectible
Exposition Limited Edition figurines will be a Cherished Teddies figurine.
It is titled “The Company We Keep Is A Reflection of Ourselves” (pictured above left). This
figurine will only be available at the shows in Long Beach California in
April and in Rosemont, Illinois in June.
