will be Walter the drummer, Vivienne the baton twirler, Letty the spectator,
and the 5th Anniversary Float. Membears will also have the opportunity to
purchase a Cub E. Bear plush bear. Also very special for 1999, is that
membears who purchase all four of the Membear Only Figurines will be
automatically shipped a special Customer Appreciation Figurine.

The Frequent Buyer Program will officially end on December 31, 1998. The
program will not continue in 1999. You will have until the end of January
to submit your point registers to Enesco. According to Enesco, they want to
come up with other ways to reward their collectors.

There will only be 6 locations in 1999 to obtain the Regional Event Figurine
Tammy. Since Tammy is featured in a 50’s style poodle skirt the theme of the
Regional Events is a 50’s Sock Hop. All of the information on how to obtain
tickets to the Regional Events was in the October issue of The Town Tattler.
The event locations are:

March 27 Birmingham, Alabama
May 15 Denver, Colorado
June 5 Baltimore, Maryland
July 24 San Diego, California
August 14 St. Paul, Minnesota
October 23 South Bend, Indiana

The 1999 Painter/Sculptor Tour Event Figurine will be Alex. He is dressed
in blue overalls holding a toy boat and has a toy duck on wheels beside him.
According to Enesco the Painter/Sculptor Tour will visit 100 stores and last
a period of 8 months. The stores that have been selected to host an event
in 1999 are to be announced in January.

The March 1999 Adoption Center Exclusive Figurine will be Bette. She is
wearing a hat and a fancy scarf. She is a movie star and is standing on a
star from the Walk of Fame with her bear print on it. The July National
Event Figurine will be Dennis. He is a chef wearing a chef’s hat and is
holding a platter with a hamburger on it. Both of these figurines are must
haves.

Jasmine
Jasmine, “A Bouquet of Blessings For You,” (pictured right) is the Spring GCC Catalog
Exclusive figurine that will be available May 1 at your local GCC retailer.
Anita, “You’re a Tulip to Treasure, ” is another 1999 Catalog Exclusive.
Anita is wearing a Spring dress and bonnet and is holding a bouquet of tulips.

Some of the other figurines coming out in 1999 include Winfield, a Limited
Edition figurine to celebrate the new millennium. Also in 1999, a Mother’s
Day figurine named “If a Mom’s Love Comes in All Sizes Yours has the Biggest
of Hearts” that will come prewrapped and will retire on May 9, 1999. Also
there are six different Cherished Teddies figurines riding on Carousel
horses, which started arriving in stores the first of December.

Enesco will be coming out with more Cherished Teddies plush beanies. There
are going to be T-shirt Beanies that are wearing T-shirts with different
sayings on them. For Valentines Day there will be a beanie with a red heart
on its chest. There is also going to be a furry stuffed plush set of Sara,
Jacki, and Karen coming out. In this set of three, there will also be a
Blue “Rare” bear.

Well that’s about it for now. Look for more “new” News in early 1999.
