The SylvaC Pink Rabbit

The charming and whimsical SylvaC rabbits were first produced in the 1930s and quickly became popular as decorative items in homes across the UK and beyond.  They are commonly found in green and less so blue, but there is also a much rare SylvaC Pink Rabbit.

The rabbits first appeared in the early 1930s and came to be produced because while in France, Mr Richard Hull had come across a similar model and knew immediately that they could be commercially sound.

The Sylvac Rabbit is an iconic collectable that many collectors recognise instantly. The most common style figurine is a rabbit in a sitting position with long, pointed ears, large black expressive eyes, and finely detailed fur. The overall appearance give the figurines a cute and endearing look.  Other rabbit shapes included crouching rabbits, one ear up and down rabbits, Harry the Hare, and comical rabbits.

The SylvaC Pink Rabbit was produced in a number of poses including the classic sitting pose in three sizes, lop eared rabbit and Harry the Hare.

Other pink SylvaC colours can be seen on some dog and squirrel designs.

The rabbits were produced for over 40 years until 1975. They remain collectable but prices have dropped significantly on the green and blue rabbits, but the their pink Bunny buddies have still retained interest for collectors so are still be sold for between £30 and £100 depending on the size and design.
