Unusual Subbuteo items and  Subbuteo sets feature in Vectis Auctions upcoming General sale on the 20th November. Although created in 1947, it wasn't until the 1960's that Subbuteo became more like the game we recognise now. With 3-dimensional players, pitches and an ever growing array of accessories the game developed into the craze that we all know, and have no doubt, played.

 

For several years now Subbuteo has not been available to buy in the shops however with a re-launch in 2012 now is the time to rekindle that love for the game, re-live hours of your forgotten youth or simply collect and admire the game which has been around for 65 years.

No doubt awaiting this collecting trend vendors have been careful to ensure their collections remain in pristine condition, there are a number of Lots in this sale which include sealed teams in boxes and trays and even the notoriously easy to lose whistle and log book.

 

Lot 1041 is a superb collection, the Subbuteo Teams and World Cup Set includes the very rare Israel heavyweight team reference 113, heavyweight teams Peru reference 159 and United Kingdom reference 65. The 'New World Cup Edition' Box Set includes 3 x heavyweight teams Brazil, Italy and England. The hard to find whistle and log book are present, this set has been estimated at £80-£100.

Lot 1038 include a very rare Israel heavyweight team reference 113 which is Mint within sealed Good Plus box with correct reference sticker and a very rare St. Mirren heavyweight Team reference 182 which is also in Mint condition within a sealed tray, there is no outer carton or reference sticker for this team, however our specialist still believes this to be an excellent lot and has estimated it to reach £70-£90.
