The Calico Kittens collection were created by Priscilla
Hillman in 1993. Priscilla Hillman’s other creations include the ever
popular Cherished Teddies, My Blushing Bunnies
and Priscilla’s Mouse Tales.
The kittens have a very loyal following and recent retirements, exclusives
and limited editions has attracted a number of new collectors. There is
a lot of interest in cat collectibles so there is huge potential for expansion.
As with all collectibles most people start collecting after the event,
so if you like them start collecting now.
To
celebrate five years of Calico Kittens, ENESCO released
a special edition piece Bet Your Kit N’Kaboodle We’re Five (pictured
right).
