The association with the Wade Isle Of Man Tourist Trophy Races means that the model appears not only to Wade collectors but also TT collectors. It also looks great featuring a cool grey dish with a classic motorcycle rising above on a slope ridden by a rider in grey and a blue helmet. We have not seen any variations in colour from this. If anyone has knowledge of any variations please let us know.
It was only produced in 1959-1960 as a souvenir of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy motorcycle races and was designed by William K. Harper who also designed character jugs for Royal Doulton. It measures approximately 3-1/2” long and is 2-3/4” high. It is stamped to base WADE ENGLAND.
