collectors and admirers can purchase a lifetime treasure and

President Juan Vicente Lladró (pictured right) will sign
select Lladró pieces at Paramus Store to benefit the
Susan G. Koman Foundation
For over 50 years, Lladró, the world-renowned Spanish
porcelain designers have been a household name for many families
throughout the greater metropolitan New York/New Jersey area.
On Sat., September 10, Juan Vicente Lladró, the son of
one of the founding Lladró brothers will continue his
family’s legacy as he meets with Lladró aficionados from
3 pm to 5 pm at the Lladro store in the Garden State Mall in
Paramus. Admirers and collectors will have the opportunity of
a lifetime to have Juan Vicente personally sign their Lladró
purchase, as well as contribute to a foundation that fights
to eradicate breast cancer. At this event, Juan Vicente Lladró
will unveil Lladró’s exclusive "pink" collection,
designed to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation in their fight
against breast cancer.
The Lladró pink collection consists of four special
edition items: Admiratio, a delicate porcelain sculpture from
the innovative Humanitas Collection; Flowers of Peace, a scented
candle; a pink version of Waterdrop, a pendant from the Talismania
Accessories Collection; and Treasures of the Earth, a classic
sculpture featuring all pink flowers. The four items range in
price from $35 to $795, making it possible for consumers to
make a difference at any level. During the months of September
and October, Lladró will donate ten percent (10%) of
the retail price of these special edition items to the Foundation.
Like all Lladró pieces, these unique creations are the
result of a meticulous artistic process with a symbolic meaning,
embracing the color pink in their decoration and paying homage
to the cause. This is the second year that Lladró is
joining forces with the Komen Foundation and is committed to
raising a minimum of $50,000.
-more-
Before being appointed as a member of the Board of Directors,
Juan Vicente Lladró spent years observing the work of
his father and uncles. The Lladró brother’s compassion
and love for others inspired a corporate culture built on kindness.
Juan Vicente watched his predecessors be the first to create
job opportunities for people with disabilities, build weekend
and after school programs for the children of Lladró
associates and support projects in areas of extreme poverty
in countries around the world. This September and October, Juan
Vicente will bring this kindness to the US as he raises money
and awareness for another deserving cause – the fight against
breast cancer.
