The Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction from the 9th-11th November includes over 1,000 lots of highly desirable movie props and collectables including items relating to three of modern horrors most notable villians Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees.
Lot 153 Halloween: Resurrection (2002) – Michael Myers’ (Brad Loree) Mask. Estimate £20,000-£30,000
A Michael Myers’ (Brad Loree) mask from Rick Rosenthal’s horror sequel Halloween: Resurrection. The iconic serial killer wore his mask throughout the film as he terrorised a group of college students taking part in a reality-show competition to spend the night at Myers’ childhood home. This mask originates from renowned make-up artist and director Gary Tunnicliffe, who was the special make-up effects creator on the film.
The rubber mask – based on a William Shatner mask famously used in John Carpenter’s 1978 original – is predominantly painted off-white, with brown-painted eyebrows and faux brown hair. There is a split up the back allowing it to be easily worn, and a faded note handwritten in pink marker pen inside the neck. The mask has some wear from production use and age, including wear to the paint, and some discolouration around the neck. Dimensions: 25 cm x 17 cm x 28 cm (9¾” x 6¾” x 11″)
Lot 263 Freddy Krueger’s (Robert Englund) razor finger glove from Chuck Russell’s fantasy-horror sequel A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Estimate £20,000-£30,000
Freddy wielded his infamous razor glove throughout the film series as his primary weapon. Each of the films in the franchise featured an alternate design for Freddy’s glove, and one went missing from the production of Russell’s film, only to appear on the wall of the work shed in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead II as a form of banter between Raimi and Elm Street franchise creator Wes Craven.
The glove is made from brown leather, weathered and stained using polish, and features the four iconic stainless steel razors, affixed to copper finger plates. The finger blades, plates and glove back plate are fastened with copper rivets, securing the deadly blades to the glove. The piece shows intentional distress throughout to match the tarnished and villainous look of Freddy Krueger. Dimensions: 33 cm x 26.5 cm x 4 cm (13″ x 101/2″ x 11/2″)
The sale also includes a Freddy Krueger hat from the film Freddy vs Jason, and a Freddy Kruger horizontal striped sweater from Wes Craven’s New Nightmares.
