Hi all,I have in my possession a very rare "EMPIRE THIMBLE".The thimble was made in 1899 by Henry Griffith and sons. Hallmarks:- Rd 356898 15 H G LTd a lion ramptant,chesire mark (wheat) Q .The border of the thimble consists of seven emblems representing countries of the British Empire at the turn of the 19th century. The emblems,each with their place lettered underneath,reading to the right from the England emblem (a lion over a large crown),are :- Australia (an upright kangaroo),Canada (a beaver on a log),New Zealand (4 stars-the Southern Cross),Tasmania (a Lion Rampant),India (an elephant),Natal(2 wildebeest).Above the border of emblems are 2 rows of daisies continuing over the apex.If offered for sale i was wondering what price to put on it.Any offers or interests don't hesitate to e-mail me at pjwhite01@bigpond.com. cheers Philip White
