: I have a set of twelve thimbles which are pottery characters, in detail, and they have pewter inside them.
: Each is stamped with MW made in England, inside.
: There are: Policeman, butcher, hunter (or poacher!) lady, granny, parson, inn-keeper, huntsman, cricketer, shepherd, gentleman (?) and doctor.
: I have images of them all and the stamp mark inside them but I don't know how to use the link thing below. Sorry!
: The M & W on the stamp are joined together where the right hand side of the M and the left hand side of the W make a continuous line, making the M above and to the left of the W.
: I hope someone can tell me something about these. They were bought for my mother about 10 years ago but as she has since died, I now own them.
