Stamps Message Board Posted by Sabrina Dowlut-Beard on October 17, 2006 at 06:05:01: I recently aquired a book of stamps. They mostly are from the 1930's to 1950's and are from all around the world. A few are neatly sliped into seprate holders while most have been stored enmasse inside envelopes and have become stuck to one another. I am wondering how I can gauge the value of these stamps, or if it is even possible being a novice to stamp collecting. Also I am wondering how I can un-stick the stamps from one another. My grandfather collected stamps and would soak them for a bit in water, however he has passed so I can't ask him for advice on this. Please, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
