Hi,
There is no "official" grading system in place for PEZ at this time. It has been discussed, but commonly concluded that there are too many collecting styles in the PEZ Hobby for anyone to agree on a standard.

In general; melted, scratched, chipped, or "stressed" plastic will result in a de-valueing by almost half (really depends on the degree of the defect/damage).
A signed dispenser can be worth $100 to the right collector, or $0 to another. It depends on how that collector "styles" his/her collection (and whose signature is on what dispenser).

Finding a true value to any dispenser is simply a matter of putting it in front of the right collector. You've got general estimates for the masses and you've got specialized estimates for the niche.

: Hi,

: I'm doing some research on Pez, and was wondering how you grade the dispensers based on their condition? Is it simply a matter of guesswork, or is there an established, standardised way of grading them?

: For instance, my sister has a USA pez dispenser, loose from any packaging. It's a bit dusty but in good condition. Another pez dispenser she has is a Lucy B (Peanuts) pez dispenser, also loose. She's in good condition, but has been autographed on the side with texta (by a local band). How would you go about grading these pez?

: Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
