All 1st quality Caithness Paperweights should have a name and marking on the bottom. Limited editions will have a fraction type of number as well ie) 120/180 to tell you how many were in the series. Caithness "Seconds" which are not first quality and are available from the factory will sometimes show a CIIC type of marking on the bottom. You can check with the factory re: the CG2, it may be a "second quality with some miniscule defect (sometimes almost unseen) nonetheless a second quality. Hope this helps
