A special event was held recently at Talents of Windsor to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Hazle Ceramics. Antiques celebrity and fan of Hazle Cermics Eric Knowles was in attendance.

For this event there was a special focus on Art Nouveau, including a new building. Art Deco is featured too. With both styles favourites of Eric, Hazle Ceramics have done what they most enjoy, creating authentic period details. Other intricately researched, event-inspired themes appear as Limited Paintings. The Village Collection was launched with two new models.

There were twelve ceramics available including two event pieces L’Objet D’Art and La Belle Epoch with the certificates signed by Eric Knowles.

L’Objet D’Art

This is a new ceramic based on the Art Nouveau Building in Market Street, Cambridge. Lamps from Tiffany of New York, an English Minton vase, a French Gallé lamp and other Art Nouveau pieces fill the main and upper windows, with illustrious makers named on the door. All these will be painted by Hazle. Event Piece LP50 (on Cambridge Art Nouveau) £95

La Belle Epoch

The very first Art Nouveau poster, promoting Wren’s City Churches, started a major trend in illustration. Works on this ceramic are from Mucha, Mackmurdo and Beardsley, including his motifs for Le Morte d’Arthur. (The original Belle Epoch was the great Parisian era for the Arts, 1871-1914.) Painted on Glyn’s House, an Art Nouveau building with sculpted beauties from London’s Old Bond Street. Event Piece LP50 (on Fine Art Saleroom) £140
