Vectis Auctions feature two rare Dinky commercials in their April 12 2005 auction.

Pictured right is a special promotional Dinky 915 AEC Thames Board Paper Mills liveried wagon complete with flat trailer carrying four UNILEVER paper rolls as cargo.The last one sold at Vectis (eight years ago) made £1700+ commission!

No one knows how few were made in the 1970s- this within original blister pack - based on a more common version normally selling for £60-80. Both versions are pictured here - you may wish to compare - estimate £1000-1500- anticipated to far exceed this!

Also of interest will be a Dinky 940 Mercedes Benz Truck, another promotional model, sporting "Fisons the Garden People" advertising. It has a red chassis and plastic hubs, white cab and rear body, red cab interior with grey plastic tilt and "Fisons Rich Dark Peat" load comprising two miniature scale bags of peat to rear. This will be a unique opportunity to acquire a very rare vehicle estimated at £200-300.
