Good Friday, Daisy Nook, a masterpiece by L.S. Lowry (1887-1976) sold today at Christie’s in London for £3,772,000, the highest ever price for the artist at auction. The picture was last seen at auction in 1970 when it sold for £16,800 and set a record price for the artist at the time.
