The new Mother Bear makes her entrance together with the new Brother Bear and Sister Bear, all in faceted clear crystal. The Sister Bear is a limited annual edition and is only available to SCS Members in 2006 (one per SCS Member).

The sheer power, size and intelligence of bears have fascinated humankind since primeval times. They also stand for trust and a sense of family.

“Bears have something of a mystical appeal to me. Even though I have never seen them in their natural habitat, I can still sense their power, dignity and freedom.” This is how their designer Elisabeth Adamer describes her attraction to these amazing animals.

“When I watch bears, I sense the magic of a family. I see a mother bear rearing her young with great affection, always keeping an eye on her offspring and protecting her young cubs, full of pride and with all her strength. And I see the two carefree bear cubs enjoying themselves and playing together.” These aspects had an important influence on Elisabeth Adamer’s creative process.
