I am mainly a collector of Dennis Chinaworks (connection with Moorcroft = Sally Tuffin). I have a number of Moorcroft Pieces (mainly Gibson / Davenport and Bishop). Given that Moorcroft do produce relatively large runs of pieces, much of the pottery is expensive and I think it is very unlikely that people will make their money back. If this is an investment for you, go for the best that you can afford and as a general rule, ignore small pieces. I would also advise that you research Moorcroft pieces for quite some time and get to know the various pieces - you will soon pick up what to avoid and what to concentrate on. Never buy a 'second' or anything which is damaged - you will never get your money back if you sell in future. In my opinion, you should try and concentrate on rare/ early Cobridge (owned for a short time by Moorcroft) - these are more affordable but could increase in value by a larger percentage if you pick the right one; again, research is key. Good luck and take your time before buying. Melanie
