: Designer Philip Gibson visited Florida in 2006 to demonstrate the art of making Moorcroft at the West Palm Beach show. He was so impressed by the Art Deco hotels on Ocean Drive that he incorporated the iconic details into a vase design and added the natural beauty of Florida: the brilliant blue sky and ocean; the lush tropical foliage; and the pelicans which are a familiar sight along the shoreline. The pelicans in the Deco Drive design have a heraldic appearance, reminiscent of the bird's medieval symbolism.
