April 2009 sees the launch of our new Social Network area:

WCN has been a community site since its launch back in 1996. With new technologies available we thought it was time to take the site forward.

The new system will allow the formation of collecting specific groups which collectors can join. Users can create their own groups or they can request for us to start a group.

As always we want to provide areas for all collecting areas from large collectible areas such as Swarovski to smaller niche markets such as Antique Typewriters. If you run a collecting group, have an interest in a particular collectibles, please go ahead and create a group. You can then invite your friends and hopefully make new ones.

They will be able to: Discuss Collecting, create a Blog, add Photos, add and vote on Polls, view and add Events, add Classified Ads, Chat, and most importantly make new friends with similar interests from around the world! We will be developing new modules and the look and feel of the system over the coming months. Our modules will be collectors specific making the WCN Social Network truly unique.

The new system requires registration using a valid email address. We have made the registration process as simple as possible, with a minimum of information required and all your details will never ever be passed onto anyone else.

Quick Notes

1. Visit http://www.worldcollectorsnet.com/community
2. Register via the Signup page.
3. Click Groups to Browse current Groups - you can view the Latest Groups available or click on the Categories section to see what Groups are available alrerady.
4. Click on the Group you want to join and press Join. If there is no group for your collectible you can Create or email community@worldcollectorsnet.com and we will create one for you.

My Apps

Once registered you will have access to My Apps and will be able to start joining Groups, adding Photos, start a Blog, Chat live, add and vote on Polls, add a Classified Ad and add and view Events.

Messages and Friends

Users can also create Friends' lists and view when their Friend's are online.
You can even send Messages direct to them and other users.
