: : I have a few pieces of Lladro from my late mother's collection. One I have identified tentatively as the above subject. However, the colors are very pastel, the finish is high gloss, and I see there are variations including one with more vibrant colors. Can someone tell me how I can positively identify this piece? I do not have the original box.

: Hi, you can post a picture,  thought the theme is pretty common, the attributes on this one seem pretty specific.  What I believe you are experiencing is the issue of how Lladro photographs their figures along with the text that Janet has on each of her listings on A Retired Collection.  Yes, Lladro has produced many figures in various finishes, that does not mean that yours was, according to Janet's site, yours was produced in matte and gloss finish.  When Lladro photographs these they tend to make them look darker than they actually are in order to make the colors look more presentable via photography.  The image of 4910 is exceptionally dark, so much so that if it werent for the skin tone I'd say it looks like Gres.  Anyway, yopu have already determined yours is in gloss finish so - enjoy.
