: I've always had good luck cleaning dirty Lladro finds with good ol' Q-Tips, warm water, and a tiny bit of dish detergent (something gentle like Ivory works wonderfully). I would like to emphasize the word TINY because a little will go a long way. For routine dusting or getting in the tiny nooks, I use a can of air (judiciously and gently!) from Staples as I live in permanent fear of snapping a fragile petal or leaf.

Hi there Jennifer, I thing the can of air is a good idea, I avoid cleaning them period. My uncle suffered from Alzheimer's before he passed and he would spend day after day washing them in the sink and never broke a thing. I know others who look at a figure and a head falls off... That and chandelier crystals which he would remove, wash in windex and then replace and then forget he did it and do it all over again. I always worried he would fall off the ladder but in the long run it kept him occupied. I use a feather duster. I love the swiffer duster for general use but would not get near petals or flowers with a duster and a swiffer especially as it tends to catch on things...
Those votive cups are pretty rough and ready, I dreamt last night that I received a Privilege Gold renewal form in the mail that indicated they were giving large (10 inch in diameter) bowls with the Greek motif of the little potpourri bowl they gave two years ago, wishful thinking. I'm going to start a new thread.

Cheers,
Jorge
