Fruits of the Sea, 2009/2010 Club Symbol of Membership

Lilliput Lane started producing their miniature cottages in 1982. David Tate, the founder, opened workshops at Skirsgill, in England's Lake District, and the company has remained in the area ever since.

Pictured right: Fruits of the Sea, 2009/2010 Club Symbol of Membership - The North Yorkshire coast, where wild moorland meets the North Sea, has a rugged charm and character all of its own. With its sturdy stone walls and colourful clay pantiled roof, this building is typical of the many small cottages which can be found in the dramatic landscape around Runswick Bay.

The majority of cottages are based on real cottages, with collections based not only on British Cottages, but also American, and in the past German, Dutch and French Cottages.

The cottages have attracted a worldwide audience and with regular retirements and new issues. There is a lot of demand for earlier and rarer cottages.

Collectors Club

The club offers members the chance to receive and purchase exclusive models, and to find out more information about Lilliput Lane, through its quarterly magazine Gulliver's World.

Fruits of the ForestPictured left: Fruits of the Forest, 2009/2010 Collectors’ Club Special Edition - It’s easy to imagine a woodcutter or gamekeeper, someone who really enjoys living off the land, living here. Other woodlanders have been included too, in the form of a sly fox creeping up on a family of snoozing rabbits and if you look around the back of the building you will even find a deer.

The Lilliput Lane Club Symbol of Membership for 2009/10 is Fruits of the Sea (pictured above right) and the Club Special Editions include Fruits of the Forest (pictured left) and Fruits of the Land (pictured below right).

Fruits of the LandPictured right: Fruits of the Land, 2009/2010 Collectors’ Club - Set in just under one acre of partly moated gardens, this charming timber-framed detached building from the Suffolk village of Hitcham has a beautiful wraparound thatch. It is Grade II Listed and enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding Suffolk countryside.
