John Deere LogoJohn Deere is a brand of Deere & Company and is the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery in the world. John Deere products are known for their distinctive green and yellow color scheme, as well as the companies logo of a deer.

ERTL John DeereFrom very early on the company added their logo to merchandise and ephemera which today provides collectors with a massive range of historical material to collect, covering a period of over 170 years.

Pictured right: ERTL® diecast replicas showcase period-accurate John Deere graphics and logos. Includes the "John Deere Delivery with Horse and Wagon," and the imaginative "1913 Ford Model "T" Delivery Van".

John Deere Collectors Centre"The John Deere Collectors Center is the premier association for enthusiasts interested in the history and heritage of John Deere, and the collecting of early John Deere tractors, equipment and memorabilia. Visitors can watch restorations in progress, view displays of vintage John Deere tractors and equipment or visit the Center's customer service counter for information about parts, repairs and restorations, and reference materials. The Collectors Center store offers a variety of John Deere gifts and merchandise."

620 LP StandardThe Collectors Center features a number of displays including the Oldest Known John Deere Tractor (an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) tractor and the only complete one known to still exist of approximately one hundred tractors built by John Deere in 1918) and hosts a number of events including Memorabilia Conferences.

Pictured left: 620 LP Standard John Deere Collectors Center has begun to take orders for the latest in their Precision Series. The #5 replica will be a 620 LP Standard. Sold for only three model years, 1956-1958, there were 22,532 total 620 models manufactured. Of these, 988 were standard models and 37 of these were LP-gas. The model, designed exclusively for the John Deere Collectors Center, is made by Ertl® of Dyersville, Iowa.

2007 Tractor ShowVisitors are also able to purchase exclusive editions only available at the Collectors Center. These include an exclusive Limited Edition model by ERTL of the 620 LP Standard and a John Deere B2.

Paul Frank HandbagAs well as the limited editions there is a range of other memorabilia including prints, books, badges, medallions and sometimes limited time offerings such as 2007 Tractor Show Belt Buckle and Paul Frank Handbag. The John Deere Collectors Center has its own ebay store and some of the items available can be purchased there as well as the center.

This collectible vinyl handbag measures 13”x13”x7” These purses were created for, and sold exclusively through, the John Deere Collectors Center. These are a limited edition of only 500.

It is published four times a year by the John Deere Collectors Center to help collectors and enthusiasts stay up to date on Collectors Center events, see what equipment is currently on display or being restored, and learn about the history of John Deere and its products. It's all in each issue of The Plowshare and it's all free.
