Jim Beam Bottles & Decanters Message Board Posted by rowan782 on May 25, 2009 at 23:23:20:
A friend's remembrance of this is that it had a fifth of Seagrams, but it could have been Jim Beam or another brand, after all, it was 1950, but that's his remembrance. Presented to his Dad, basically as a gag gift. It is a miniature coffin or gasket, complete with the side rails for the pall bearers to carry. Inside, four gold rimmed shot glasses, unused, an empty space, formed to receive the bottle. On top of the lid is a plaque, engramed "therein lies the spirits" on the inside lid is engraved on a plaque somthing like " this is no mummy, dummy" or words to that effect. Anyone seen or heard of such.
