Is there a way to "reset" new furby?

My new furby started acting weird about a week or two after I got it. At first he responded normally to my commands, but now his speech and actions don't "match up" to what he feels or says (example: he somehow ends up falling asleep with his eyes open.) Has this happened to anyone else? I tried replacing the batteries but it didn't fix the problem. Is there a way to reset the new furby, like on the old ones there was a reset button...
