: It is a shame to lose this great old glass factory! Bob Buchanan's post was an eye-opener!  If I had millions I would keep this grand old factory in operation.  The Ohio Valley was once the pride of the American glass industry.  With this closing, it only leaves Blenko alive in the Mid-Ohio Valley!  I live in the town where Viking glass was produced and just down the river from Imperial and Fostoria.  They have all closed in recent years!  Imports or gas prices or whatever, we still enjoy and appreciate the quality of glass that was made here!  I've always been proud of this area that produced such beautiful quality designed glass! There is still a market for the beautiful and unusual American-made glass!  Won't someone please save this dwindling industry?
