As second in command at Fenton Art Glass, I can honestly say that you should not believe anything that George Fenton says. Everyone at the factory knew that when Frank passed away, George would sell the company. It's amazing to me that a place with so much demand for it's product can go belly up.People all over the world will buy anything with a Fenton sticker on it. It is a slap in the face to the employees and to the community of Williamstown that George can build a new half million dollar house while his employees have to sell theirs.Don't believe George,and don't buy into his sad stories.Yes, Fenton has been losing money,but that is the fault of the one in charge of product development.Nancy Fenton, George's wife, and because we inadvertly ran all of our good employees off. And yes I was part of that problem.(just following George's orders).
So please,don't feel sorry for the Fenton clan.Frank left them $47 million when he died.If I had that much money I wouldn't work either.
