: The Fenton Art Glass company closed its manufacturing line and laid off their talented crew of artists at the end of January 2007.  About 250 workers were impacted. Fenton hopes to re-open before the end of February, but, that is not a certainty.

: Fenton drastically altered their new glass offerings in the 2007 catalog.  Apparently, the new offerings were poorly received by the Fenton dealers that stock the glassware in their shops.
