Comical Ali has been located and immortalised in Stoke on Trent at Kevin Francis's Facepot Factory. Mohammed Said al-Sahhaf, the Iraqi Information Minister, added his very own peculiar Alice in Wonderland humour to the Iraqi war with fantastical statements including, "We are Winning!" and "There are no Americans in Baghdad!" - at the same time TV around the world was broadcasting pictures of the fall of Saddam Hussein's statue in the centre of Baghdad and American GIs lighting up their cigars at the check-in counters at Baghdad Airport!

The 40 have been chosen as a mark of respect to Comical Ali in recognition of his 40 years service to the B'aath Party which he joined in 1963.

The Facepot sees Comical Ali in his official uniform with his trademark glasses and clenched desperately thumping home an assortment of weird and wonderful sayings as British and American troops bring down the Iraqi regime.
