I have recently obtained a letter that was sent to Elvis Presley and I’m not sure whether it is a fake or genuine, although I have it on good authority it is legitimate.

The letter is as follows and is in an average condition (has been scrumpled up at some point) –

From First American National Bank and dated February 3, 1956

Mr. Elvis Presley
1414 Getwell Avenue
Memphis, Tennessee

Dear Mr. Presley:

This is to acknowledge receipt of a deposit to your savings account in the amount of $1200.00 made by Col. Tom Parker.

I wish to congratulate you on the fine success you are making in your field, also on having Mr. Parkr as your manager and agent.

I have known Mr. Parker for a number of years and am confident that if you follow his advice and direction, you will profit much by his great knowledge and experience.

Thanking you for this nice account and wishing for continued success, I am

Yours very truly,

(Signature)

A.H. Vaughn
Assistant Manager

(at bottom of page) –

AHV: py

6c to Col. Tom Parker

As I said the letter is in average condition.

The dates and everything seem to stack up and I can forward pictures if this would help?

Please can anyone let me know if this is worth anything and if so, where would be the best place to authenticate it and in turn auction/sell it (I am based in Northern England).

Thanks for your help

Richard
