How Disney Class became KMart Class

What DisneyShopping.com advertises as a "Disney Class" experience is closer to KMart Class. Pin traders everywhere are complaining about the recent Semi-Annual Pin Sale.

Despite the big, colorful banner advertising free shipping, traders were charged. Others ordered pins and received confirmations, only to learn that the pins advertised were not in stock and they would not be receiving them after all.

Worse, attempts to contact Disney resulted in traders being connected to a call center in the Phillipines. The call center is staffed by young, polite but often untrained staff, many of whom are unfamiliar with Disney products and who may or may not be comfortable speaking English.

This trader ultimately had some, if limited success by calling Disney's so-called Presidential Line. Punching 1-800-328-0476 instead of the regular customer service line got me a Disney employee here in the States, one who was outraged on my behalf and who was able to correct at least one of the problems resulting from ordering sale pins.
