Snowbabies from Dept 56 Message Board Message Board Posted by Elizabeth Reed on November 25, 2007 at 01:37:32: I ordered a couple of Snow babies from Chesterton Manor, an online distributor of collectibles. I ordered 2 items on Oct 16, one for my aunt and one for my husband. On October 25 they notified me that my order had been "misfiled in my paperwork" and that they "are currently unable to locate the item Cold Noses, Warm Hearts in our inventory for your order." I asked for a refund of the one they were "unable to find" and asked that the other be sent to me. On November 17 I noticed on my credit card account that no refund had been issued. I also still had not yet received the item they did have in stock (this is a month later). When I wrote them to find out the status, the response was: "If you question the quality of our company, please do not order from us in the future." While he did credit me for the whole order, in further email correspondences, the owner later called me rude, and questioned why my husband was not at home (I had mentioned I needed to ship it in time for the Holidays), something that's none of his business. Basically this guy has no idea what customer service is and will collect money instantly, but not ship the items out. I would seriously recommend that anyone looking to purchase anything from Chesterton Manor would look elsewhere.
