: That's why an open worldwide market place is the best barometer.  Everyone can see what prices cottages are being sold for at or during a period of time and can if they wish work out a "current" average price.

: One point of caution.  One needs to compare like with like.  Not all Cornish Cottages are sold in the same condition, some come with boxes/certificates others don't.  Some pieces had a low production run, others had 10's of thousands.

: The recession has hit all collectible/investment markets.  David Winter Cottages have faired much better than competitors.  From an investor's perspective the golden rule is buy low,sell high.  Prices are low at present.  Interest rates are low.  Investors want to place their money where they are likely to get a better return.  Low production runs look a good investment.

: It is of course a golden opportunity for collectors to buy those David Winter Cottages that they could not afford before.
