Yipee LOL Regarding publishing a pridce guide: Maybe that was the thing which caused all of the hype and hysteria in the first place when the prices that some cottages reached ridiculous ammounts? If you did publish a price "guide" how would you set the price, and more importantly who would set it? If such a guide were published then you automatically set a bench marked "minimum price" which sellers would then expect to sell for and would no doubt then start to add a few more pounds to the price and before you know it would we all be buying and selling at "silly prices again"??? Maybe supply and demand is the best way to go. There is a recession on and cottages will only sell for what people are prepared to pay. And as the bottom seems to have dropped out of the DW market, and there is a glut of cottages (on the global auction and selling house web site that dare not mention it's name), many of which do not sell, then I don't think a book of prices would work. I could be wrong? What do you think???
